Laryngeal Mask

A laryngeal mask is an artificial airway that is inserted into the pharynx to form a sealed airway, offering a level of airway control between oxygen mask and endotracheal tube. Undis’ laryngeal masks are available in single-lumen standard type, single-lumen reinforced type, double-lumen straight type, and double-lumen preformed type, meeting the diverse needs of patients in different regions.

  • Enhancing Surgical Safety for Patients

Traditional endotracheal intubation under general anesthesia ensures airway security and reduces the risk of aspiration to some extent, but deep sedation may exacerbate hemodynamic fluctuations. As a supraglottic airway device, the laryngeal mask can maintain effective ventilation under light anesthesia, reducing the dosage of anesthetic agents and blood pressure fluctuations. Under normal operating conditions, the cuff of the Undis laryngeal mask approaches the airtightness of endotracheal intubation, with a maximum cuff volume of approximately 40 ml (size 5#), which facilitates postoperative recovery and improves the quality of perioperative care.

  • Improving Patient Comfort

Traditional invasive endotracheal intubation may cause varying degrees of postoperative throat pain, hoarseness, and difficulty speaking after extubation. In contrast, the laryngeal mask uses cuff pressure to better minimize these issues. Undis’ laryngeal mask offers advantages such as minimal trauma and reduced stress response.

  • Essential for Emergency Rescue

The insertion process of the laryngeal mask is relatively simple and does not require a laryngoscope, significantly reducing operational difficulty and time. For patients in emergency situations, the laryngeal mask can quickly establish an effective airway, providing valuable time to save lives.

  • Economical and Practical

In regions with relatively limited surgical conditions and equipment, Undis offers reusable silicone laryngeal masks. The plastic components are made of materials resistant to high temperatures of 121°C or above, making the surgical process safer and more reliable. Undis laryngeal masks are available in sizes 1.0#, 1.5#, 2.0#, 2.5#, 3.0#, 4.0#, 5.0#, and 6.0#, suitable for different people and weight types.
